Onge settlement: The Onge belongs to the Negrito settlement to the little Andaman. the tradition of the tribe that when the men go out hunting the women of the tribe stay at home and search for roots and tubers beneath the soil. They were people with a very little interest in cultivation or farming as they were unaware of the agriculture until they came in contact with the modern world. Few years before they did not believe in boiling food as they were unaware of the process of cooking. They used bow and arrow for fishing along the shallow coast of the sea. Shompen settlement: They are people who live in the interior of the Andaman Islands. They were feared and hostile during the early days but now there are no reports of hostility by the tribe, more over they have started establishing a trade relation with Nicobarese. The main mode of living in the tribe is by the mode of fishing, hunting, and gathering of foods from the forest and other parts of their settlement. The people of the tribe by nature are wanderers and travel from one place to another and live in self-made tents. They are shy in nature and thus avoid contact with the people outside their tribe. The government of Andaman provides the people with free food, water, utensils and medical facilities. It is said that the male of the tribe often visit the bay to trade products like honey and to get their ration. They are people who stay happy in isolation.



Sentinelese: They are Negroid people who live in the small North Sentinel Island. The tribal people due to their strict isolation from the outside world are the only known tribe which is still in isolation in the world. Not much about the tribe is known as they are very hostile to the outsiders and do not permit the entry of anyone outside the tribe. The tribal people use self-made bow and arrow that they mostly use for fishing and hunting wild pigs. The tribes in the settlement use no covering. R. Rahman. The movie had Tamil actor Dhanush and Parvathi in the lead roles. The film revolves around the story of a man who goes abroad with the wish to get back home and live a better life. It also shows the survival instinct a human has depending on the situation in which one is. The film is based on real life experience which was adapted from a newspaper article. The film has received 2 awards for its emotional and heart touching way of presentation.
